Will be diving in AC in ten days and was wondering how much rubber to pack. Anyone know what the water temp is currently?

I logged between 80 and 82 last week. Comfortable.

It's really a matter of preference and the number of days you will be diving. I just completed 10 dives in Maui, water temps were 78°, and because I was doing so many consecutive dives I chose a full 3-mil, just to ward off the cummulative effects that multi-day diving has on the core temps. Was perfectly comfy for all the dives. It also depends on how much "rubber" you carry with you on a daily basis (body fat), the leaner you are, the more chilled you can become and vice versa.
I've heard anything from diveskin to 3-mil full is acceptable for Belize. Enjoy! laugh

I dive day after day, 2-4 dives per day when in Belize. I always wear a full 3 mm. Actually, come to think of it, I wear my full 3mm, everywhere I dive. That is because, as the prior poster mentioned, it helps with my core temperature over numerous dives.

If I were only doing one or two dives, then a shorty would probably be enough.

2 mm shorty is enough for here! Booties not needed. Bring a windbreaker for boat ride.

I'm a small woman and do 3 dives most days. Usually my 2 mm Polartech is sufficient for the first 2 dives. I put on a 3 mm shorty for the 3rd dive. For a night dive I usually wear a hat (yeah, I'm a baby). We're packing for a trip on 2/20 and am resisting packing my 3 mm farmer john. Hope I'm right.

I dive all the time in Belize and always wear a lycra skin. Haven't work any neoprene on a recreational dive in two years, though longer and deeper tech dives do demand a bit more.....

hey just a matter of note.. i'm 6 3 and 230 and was in A/C 21 jan to 28 jan and did 10 dives only shorts and T shirt, a nice wind breaker with hood is nice for the ride and i could have used a shorty 2-3 mil and been very happy..I was ok and happy but a shorty would have been even better
