We need to start sending cash donations to the relief funds...all of them!!!!! The supplies that are in the greatest demand at this point are big budget items such as construction materials, generators, tools, appliances, etc. Not many of us can afford to buy these things by ourselves, but by donating to the various relief funds that have been set up, these things can be provided. Please donate to the relief fund of your choice...and remember that EVERY PENNY COUNTS. JUST GIVE WHATEVER YOU CAN!

Excellent point! There are lots of references on this board to various relief organizations, and also wonderfully reaffirming concern shown for the sometimes overlooked, for example pets. I hope the great outpouring of support demonstrated here also includes the country at large. AC and CC are certainly very fortunate to have such good friends in the States & Canada, and I thank all of you in advance for remembering the mainlanders as well. Kurt
