None of the above! Spoons is a "non" violent game of quick reflexes and lots of laughter (especially when you are the one not landing on your head, obviously no reflexes!) Oh, and did I mention alcohol.. 26er's, 40'ouncers, and 2-4's...and I think cards were involved somewhere along the line....

Nancyo, that must be an Eastern Canadian game. I've never heard of it.

have to admit...i've never heard of "spoons" in that context either! seen plenty of people "playing" spoons...back to back...clicking them together on their knee! am familiar with 26'ers and 2-4s tho!
seashell...are you in canada too?
dorothy...i remember the sight of clothes and bags lined up on the spare bed weeks before our trip...and right now...more than a month after being back...some of the "post-trip" contents are on that same bed...haven't got around to putting all that "summer" stuff away yet! hoping i'll get to use it soon...if the weather ever warms up here!
YES...you'll find the water a LOT warmer snorkeling off AC than off Vancouver Island!!

Sorry, I thought you knew. It was the only thing that Pedro1 got right about me in a post he made a few weeks ago.

I am not from Canada but have played many "gentle" games of spoons here in the Washington DC Area. My advice...watch out for those people that throw the spoons on the floor...they are trying to start a fight!

I seem to recall playing spoons in my younger days ... something about y'all had a spoon, some cards, and a drink or two. Depending on how much you drank, something always ended up on the floor!
(At least these were the rules in the NE)
