Hey. does anyone know if Rasta Pasta opened yet at Coconuts? If so how is it?? mobunny

Rasta Pasta has been open at Coconuts for a few weeks now... doing very well! Serving great food as always.

We were there on 4/9/04...food was marginal, not very fresh and the service was not good.

We ate at Rasta Pasta on 4/5 and had a great meal. Started off with the conch fritters and crab somethings. My husband had the seafood burrito which was about 18" long and he enjoyed every inch. I had the curry seafood combo w/coconut milk rice which I loved.
Marylynn sent us home with a couple of her signature coconut chocolate chip cookies that were sooooo good, I went back a couple days later to buy more.
Marylynn sat and chatted with us for a while as she and my husband had a common interest "the Grateful Dead" She is a very nice, real person.
I admire her strength through her several tragedies and wish her the best.

Thanks. We ate at the one on CC once and loved it. Had some huge veggie burrito thing that was to die for. I am really happy they are on SP again. Can't wait to go check it out. mobunny

Was at Rasta Pasta a couple of weeks ago. The food was good, the atmosphere is awesome, but the service is extremely s-l-o-w. Be prepared to w-a-i-t for everything, including a table. I may have had a new waiter, I don't know.

I know that you're talking about the SP Rasta Pasta, but I've never had a bad meal at RP Caye Caulker. Tony Brown and Brother Scott play reggae and blues, freestyle guitar jam sessions on Sunday evenings here. AWESOME! You might have to defect from SP and slum it here on CC for a night.

Tony and Scott play at Coconuts Rasta Pasta here in San Pedro on Thursdays nights. And you're right- it is AWESOME!

Rasta Pasta, whether in its original San Pedro location, or SP Redux, or in Placencia before Iris or in Caulker after Iris, has ALWAYS been known for its excellent food AND slow service. The slow service is just part of the package! But if you come to Belize for snappy service, you've come to the wrong place.
