Hey Mikell, if I close my eyes tight I can feel that water all over me once again at the same spot. That was such a nice area to hang out at. I loved the sign on the bar. I believe it said
" A sunny place for shady people"

i know what you mean about "feeling" that picture...isn't the water incredible there? that photo really captured it! and for those who haven't been there...that's the volleyball net/court out in the distance! on a sandbar. it's truly a MUST GO place...especially for shady people!!!

Yeah...and for those of us that saw it in person and couldn't swim because of all the brown floaties (jellyfish) in the water it could turn out to be a big tease. Ohhhhh...how much I wanted to get in that water, but nobody could or did on that particular day frown

Also wondering how raskage gets his photos to so beautifully display...when some of us can feel frustrated just trying to do so....a man with little words but pics that speak a thousand!!! laugh laugh

well goody, you could ask him, he's friendly enough...
first, buy a Mac. Well, i won't start a flame war here, but they make it really easy to publish pix. the latest version of iPhoto has a "publish" feature that does it for you. just push a button. i think what you mean though is the preparing of photos for the web (or print). I use Photoshop CS, I recommend you spend a few bucks and get Adobe Photoshop Elements. Pretty easy to use, and it does a lot of the work automatically. You need to resize the pix first, digital photos start life as huge low res. files. If i was doing pictures specifically for email or the web, i resize to about 4x6 inches, at 96dpi. Then you need to remove color casts, and adjust the density and contrast. then they need to be "optimized" Buy a good book on Elements, i'm using "The Photoshop CS book for digital photographers" by Scott Kelby right now. He may have a version for Elements. There are lots of hosting sites you can place the pix on after you work them. I think Mikell and others have a lot more advice and experience on this than me. I've been working on the not yet posted "PB&J's Alaskan Adventure" website for months now, without having it working yet. There are definitely tons of ways to post picture sites that are pretty easy.
I'd be happy to share tips on photo enhancement, email me off board if you want.
