Arriving in AC for the first time next week. I did a search on nitrox and did not come up with too much info. Is nitrox available on AC? I have always dove with trusted operators and have used their analysis of the mix, if nitrox is available, can i trust the mix % or do I need to have my own analyzer? Thanks for any help on this topic.

I checked out a lot of the dive shops at the piers while I was down there a few weeks ago and I saw Nitrox bottles everywhere and postings for several concentrations. I don't know about the mixing quality, as I just got certified myself and haven't used Nitrox there, but from what I heard from talking to the locals and many other divers, all of the dive shops in AC place a very high priority on safety.

I have not used Nitrox in San Pedro yet, but plan to this trip.

We pump our own air (triple filtered, to 322 bar/ 5000 psi), bulk producing nitrox 28% (Blue Hole mix), 32% and 36% on a large scale. By utilizing one of the only 3 Oxygen Generator in existence in the dive industry, we produce our own oxygen and rich mixes from air to any desired pressure. Our compressors are located across the street from our dive center, permitting continuous production of nitrox and air without too much disturbance. We supply air and nitrox to a number of local dive centre.

As I train divers to max depth of 400 feet (IANTD Adv. Trimix), air quality was extremely important to us, and our air quarterly in-depended testing, is dramatically cleaner than the US standards requirement. We have 6 Oxygen analyzers and Trimix analyzer, our nitrox mix are extremely accurate.
