Does anyone here know anything about the Salamander Hideaway??? it looks a little intriguing, but I would like some input from someone with first-hand knowledge of the place......thanks

Cajunman, we stopped there last Feb while we were boat bar hopping. It looked fairly primitive and really remote. I believe it is only accessable by boat, A small restaurant bar, with a friendly staff, but I don't think we saw any guests. No pool and just a few huts.

Great location for sun and surf, yes you can surf up there.

Deer and wild pigs can be spotted on the beach. I have seen lots of wildlife in the surrounding area including some wild cats (jaguarundi).

Close to the Basil Jones area, one of the most incredible parts of the island.
