The name of this project is DFC by the Sea. Conventional Wisdom has it that the little cabins will be leased long term to medical students (close proximity to the medical school). And added income from a casino would only make sense. This is definitely an interesting approach for beach front development...

Well, I guess there about the size of the apt. we had when Thurston was in medical school. laugh If they don't air condition them the poor babies are either going to flunk out or pass out.

from what i saw each one is air conditioned. i just cant imagine anyone paying good money to stay in one of them. it looks like prison barracks.tan t-21 sideing with thatch roof. all lined up side by side in nice neat rows.i dont think any amount of landscaping will change it at all.i suppose next they will be offering time share packages.

Hi Lovey and Thurston,
Pizza ovens????? hahahahahaha!

I loved the comment made that he is going to market to Europeans.... like they would spend thousands to get there, and then stay in a place like that!!!!!!

Cheerz!

Lovey and Thurston, do you live in the mansion immediately south of Victoria House?

Hey Vicki, Love the new name of the resturant. Too clever. Have been visiting the kiddos and will be home the 14th. Have brunch ready for me. Can't wait to get back. THe Queens won't let me go to spa day without a "spotter" now!!! Seashell, no we live in a more modest abode just south of that. It is a one storey white with the pergola and the hedge in front.

OK, thanks Lovey. I just thought maybe with those names you two were toting around, that might be your mansion. wink

So who does live there? What a place.

A family by the name of McCord from Huston lives there. Really lovely people, they are not there very often but nice neighbors. The house that originally was there was torn down last year. It had been built by the Hoods and had been there many years and remodled several times. If you have been coming to the island for a long time the house was known as Hood's Landing. Walking south you will see some really gorgeous homes that have gone up in the last few years. It's a rather pretty walk and you can stop at Caribe Island for a drink or lunch at their charming little resturant over the water. I highly recommend to anyone taking a beach walk to explore that end.
