Do you still feel Victoria House is worth staying at even with this new development nearby? I just made reservations for February and then I read all your comments.

definitly, It is far enough away that noise isn't a problem and Victoria House still remains one of the most beautiful resorts on the island. This project has no impact on them.

just wait til the cruise ships hear about the casino.....

Thank you for reassuring me about Victoria House...Lovey & Thurston. This will be my first trip to AC and I am very impressed by what I have read. It is quite amazing that the #1 topic here where I live (Missouri) is whether Riverboat Gambling will be legalized on a very scenic lake that I like to fish at. Maybe the world isn't so big after all....seems like we have some of the same problems and challenges.

Lovey & Thurston...I'm still a little confused as to exactly where this is? Is this project also south of you? Or is it between "the mansion" and your place? You are just north of "Casa D'Amor", correct?

Chunkyruth, yes we are the house just no. of Casa de Amor, it is a one story with the pergola and a hegde across the front. Hope we don't have to consider a wall to the north of us. I'm anti fence and walls so hope we can block out the view with some landscaping.
