Isn't free advice always best taken with at least a minimal dose of sodium? Or should I believe everything I read here?

Research rewards effort. Talk, as we demonstrate, is cheap. That's all I mean, and not a bit more.

You cannot research without effort. Effortless research isn't worth the effort.

Thanks CM... now my head hurts... I actually had to "think" eek

When I first joined up I thought the whole point was that I wouldn't have to research, effortless or otherwise, 'cause somebody else here already had - then I started getting those "go search yourself" responses, with a fair amount of good-natured humor. Then I got to San Pedro myself and found that the info I got here was a good mix of the accurate and the totally ridiculous - all in all the best thing for me about this board is the common enthusiasm re: Belize in general and AC specifically and the fact that there's always someone to argue with about something that means nothing at all. As an added bonus, some of my best lawyer jokes came off this board.

Denny Shane, your posts crack me up - hope that's not offensive - as for the Dr/Lawyer stuff - a nurse from the clinic on AC took pity on me and gave me a ride into town on her golf cart and I met the husband of a Belizian criminal defense attorney from the mainland, he said she does mostly drug cases and generally gets paid in cash - that should be extremely helpful info for kippe - or maybe not . . . wink Now, off to work I go

oh law... pshaw.... drawing line in the sand with my big toe... I can call you law can't I? Seeings that we know each other so well. As for me cracking you up... I'll take that as a compliment.

I led an entire life of being serious... do you have any idea how many times I sat on the bench... looking as stern and as totally absorbed as I could... and thinking... "you idiot, you should be ashamed to even call yourself a lawyer" How many times I sat there wanting to laugh outloud at a summation... I had to resort to pinching myself as hard as I could so as to inflict pain on myself so I wouldn't laugh out loud.

Now that the boring part of my life is over, I can let loose with the real me. laugh... and believe me what a trip it has been! eek

Yeah, Denny, I can imagine what you have heard and seen up on the bench. (big laugh). I've seen plenty in the courtroom too and have gotten some hysterical laughs by me and about me! After all, is that why they call it the practice of law?
