AmbergrisCaye.com Home Forums The Cayes Ambergris Caye Reservations Required?

We are planning to visit Ambergris Caye in February. Will it be necessary for us to make hotel and fishing arrangments prior to our arrival or will it be possible for us to just show up and "wing it?"

Hotel?? If you are the flexible type you dont need reservations.. However. If its your first time I would make arrangements for at least a couple of days.. Walk around ,Hang out and decide where you want to stay.. As far as Diving dont bother there are so many operators, they go every day , just pick an operation you like, make arrangements the afternoon before and go...Most will pick you up at your Hotel dock if you are not staying within walking distance..

That sounds great. Thanks for the reply. I was in AC about 5 years ago in December and we did okay without reservations but I know how quickly things can change.

You said there are lots of dive operators how about fishing boats? Especially for open water (deep sea)? We didn't fish when I was there last and didn't check it out.
