Is it possible to bring or ship US beef into Belize? It's the only thing that I miss about the states.

about half of the time. I'm in Washington State right now enjoying my week old grand daughter but will return in about 5 weeks.

It used to be possible. Not sure now with the mad cow issues in US beef. I have heard of meat being taken away at customs. Maybe someone else who has tried it recently can comment.

You can bring in under 20 lbs, but need a permit from baha@btl.net, or it could be taken away from you. I just came in with stuff without a permit and was allowed to keep everything. But you can buy USDA and locally grain fed beef here now.

I have heard that several resturants are serving good beef, I had a 16 oz ribeye at portofinos that was VERY good.

El Divino at Banana Beach also has excellent steaks. I had a ribeye there last week that was to die for. Several other people at our table had them as well and everyone was very pleased.
They were also cooked exactly the way they we asked.

I have to agree that both of those restaurants sell excellant steaks. However, I was looking for a supply to stock the freezer with for nights I didn't want to go out. I'll look into getting the permit. Thanks for all your inputs.
