Carla - Your bud Robert in Denver here. HEre is what little knowledeg I have. They are pretty easy to get down there at several places new and used. New more expensive, used you have to watch out for busted axles, springs as you know the roads are rough there.

Batteries and chargers are the expensive thing - 4 times more so than in the states.

The big kicker in getting one is getting a permit to operate one on the island as they have or are putting a limit on how many can be on the island. Plus you gotta have insurance and tags too and a license. Gas runs $4 bucks a gallon or so and the permit applies to anything motorized. Bikes - there is a guy by the cut that sells them for pretty cheap and you don't have to worry about hauling them from the mainland.

Hope that helps.

Tanks Robert! Guess I'll just have to get down there and deal with it. Teenah and I are coming back the 8th of May so I can start looking for a house to buy. Can't wait. Hope you and Lowie (sp) are good. I'm just trying to get questions answered so I know what I'm up against. Appreciate the post. Take care...see ya in May probably.
