Six couples arriving Feb.17th and we have been looking at a day out on Winnie Estelle or Lady Sharon. Would like some feed back from people who have done there all day trip, 2 snorkel spots and lunch at Caye Caulker.

I haven't done the trip with either of these but have gone with Unity Tours //www.ambergriscaye.com/unitytours/index.html
Had a great time!

Winnie Estelle is a good trip. Was a fun rum cruise and snorkel trip. I know Ambassadair is booking the Winnie Estelle for a trip like that, not sure who else he charters for now. Took the trip back in 1996 and loved it, did not go to shark ray alley though. You definitely have enough people if all 12 of you go. The kicker will be if he has time. He typically has bookings during the week, but not everyday. The more people you have, the more likely he will take you out. I contacted the captain last year to discuss what he had available at winnie_estelle@yahoo.com. Could not find enough people to go out, so I couldn't book the boat.
Never been on Lady Sharon, but have seen the boat discussed repeatedly here on this forum. Go to the search window and type in Lady Sharon. I believe all the posts I have read speak very highly of the boat and staff. Hope this is helpful to you.

Thank you ilandhoper, do you remember if the Winnie Estelle has a swimming platform or a ladder? Thanks for all your info.

Roberto only does day charters now - does not run "tours" like the other boats.

I believe there was a ladder. The boat is a cool old restored Oyster boat. There are some photos on the charter boats link from the AC main page.

I think by "day charters" that klcman means you could charter Winnie Estelle for a day? Correct me if I am wrong.... The Captain's name is Roberto Smith I believe. You may be able to have him take you wherever you want for a day.......

Lady Sharon is a 65 foot Cat with swim ladders, fresh water showers, a large covered area, restrooms, a full bar, free use of snorkel equipment and a Bar-B-Q on board. Bar-B-Q-snorkel cruises are every Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m and includes asnorkeling, Bar-B-Q lunch, live entertainment and a stop at the Palapa Bar for their jam session. She goes out any other day with 15 or more people and private charters can be arranged. Also great dinner sun set cruises. The web site is www.ladysharonbelize.com and e-mail is lsbzews@yahoo.com phone 011-501-226-2292.
