Both places very good choices. Belizean Shores has an incredible pool, but is harder to get back and forth from town. You have to decide whether you prefer the remoteness, or want to spend more time going out in town.

All board members know I never miss the chance to recommend MataRocks as the "greatest homelike resort on the island".....Liz, Terry & their great staff will treat you great.....You won't be sorry for choosing MataRocks..... wink laugh

Johnboy is absolutely correct. MataRocks is, in my opinion, one of the best places to stay on the island, bar none. We have been going there for 6 years and absolutely love it.

Liz, Terry and all the crew work really hard to make you feel at home. You can relax and do nothing (one of my favorites!), you can hang out at the Squirrels Nest (also a favorite) or go into Town as it is not all that far. You can walk in, bike in or grab a taxi.

Erica can make any reservations for anything you want to do. Sharlin and Criscelda at the bar can mix just about anything (love their Cesares).

Again, its a great place with great people - what more could you possibly ask for? ... wink wink laugh

South 25+ times, north 3 times at Belizean Shores. Again at BZS next week the 28th. Hard to choose, both are different in plus and minus ways.

MiAlisa, spent a week at Banana beach 1feb to the 8th, and have been to Belize 9 times, on my last visit walked through the units at Xanadu for my return the 27th of April, will be returning to Banana beach...although the units at xanadu were extremely nice, nicer than B.B. in some ways, I prefer B.B. for the bang for the buck. it is much less money and the value is so much better including a nice beach with sun and/shade areas, a restaurant with breakfast included, a lovely staff and grounds, (grounds at xanadu very lovely), as i said i am retuning to B.B. again in 3 months. it is next door to Mata Rocks which has a nice beach bar you can walk over to. All in all a value hard to bear for my money, try it you will love it. Its a 35 min walk to town but you can rent bikes for 50 bucks per week or a cart for 265. per week. going north you have to take the ferry which at the least can be inconvenient. i had trouble getting the rooms i wanted at banana beach for the 27th of april so you better decide soon....john in denver have fun. ps we will overlap, maybe we will run into you ha ha

My wife and I just got back and stayed @ Paradise Villas - A NIce place w/ kitchen(for small meals). You may get a good rate of $130.00. Tradewinds books also reef adventures.

Close to town , nice grounds, and nice pool.
