Zip Lining uses cables strung in the jungle canopy that you use to see everything from above, like a monkey !! We have never done it but plan to try it. I don't think their website says anything about it as it is relatively new, but I had read another post where someone did it with them. Thanks for the info FBB, I plan to e-mail them to get something set up for our trip in April.

Attach a rope to a tree at one end, a smaller tree or the ground at the other end, attach yourself to that rope and let go. You will now plummet towards the low end while branches attempt to tear the clothes from your body and all the while poisonous snakes lash out at you from the trees (well, not quite but you sure can tell your friends that when you get home and impress the hell out of them.)

Simon, that was a good one. I was getting ready to reconsider my tour. Phyllis&Ray, I'll be there in May for the trip, so let me know how it went.

Has anyone out there actually done the zip line with Tanisha Tours? If so, how was it and is it worth the money spent?

a general zipline comment for all you men, if you don't adjust the harness properly before you start, you'll be singing soprano for a while.
If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried before.

Do a search on "zip line", there are some posts from Feb. this year by people who have done it. Sounds and looks cool.

And the women may want to adjust their harness' too. I lost my virginity on the zipline.
A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

What is the company that offers the best deals on Zipline, cave tubing, mayan ruins tour and a snorkling trip, also does anyone offer intro scuba diving for the non certified divers. In hawaii we did an hour lesson in the pool, then went out to sea and did an hour dive. It was wonderful. We dont want to spend our time in Belize getting certified so this would be the next best thing. Any info?

From posts on this board the only zipline on the mainland from SP is Tanisha Tours, my guess it's the same as where you go thru Jaguar Paw. As for tour operators, we will try to use Tulu an indepedent who will custom our trip. But there are many, best bet talk to the hotel and they can probably hook you up. The snorkeling around the reef is excellent, most areas are pretty shallow so diving is not really a requirement. To places outside of the reef like Blue Hole, I would think you would need to be certified, but not sure, not a diver.
