Jeff - How could you - forget to mention the name - ROJO LOUNGE.!
Here is a true testimonial - and this goes for the other thread where the gf is planning every little detail for the "thrifty" bf..
One of my old bf's came here last year on his honeymoon. They liked it so much they asked if they could come back for their anniversary. On the last day of this 8 day trip their catamaran snorkel trip to Hol Chan and Shark & Ray Alley was cancelled. So, on the spur of the moment I drove them up to Playa Blanca Beach area to meet friends of mine. We visited and then went for lunch before going fishing.
I did not know that Rojo's was closed on Sunday & Monday but soon after getting comfortable at a beach table I spotted the sign and this was Monday.
Louis came out and asked what we wanted. We laughed and said "Lunch, but we see you are closed."
"Ah, yes, but what do you want?"
"Is Jeff here?"
"Yes. But he is resting."
Oh, have you heard from Al? I'm a friend of his."
"Yes, Miz Harriette, I know. Yes, we did hear from him. The assistant chef is here, maybe he can fix you something."
Carlos asked, "Any chance of getting some cheviche?"
"I think so, anything else?"
"How about a salad?" asked Chantal.
"Let me ask," said Louis. "How about something to drink?"
When Louis promptly brought our drinks he reported that our order was being prepared. "Any chance of getting a conch pizza?" I asked.
"I"ll see."
As we were finishing our pizza - stuffed - Jeff came out to chat. We told him he should be closed more often! We could not have done any better had we had the entire menu to choose from.
Then we went back to my friends and I got to nap and read while they went snorkeling and fishing at Mexico Rocks. That night they both said it was their best day here and could they please come back next year for their anniversary?
Thanks Jeff - for running a 1st class establishment.
