Why not show your cards?

If one feels strongly about an issue doesn't one want to go public with their opinion?

Isn't that the objective of "taking a stance" vs "sitting on the fence"?

It's just odd to me that soooo many people seemed to feel soooooo strongly about this project but few have posted their letters here if they have written one at all.
