People are speculating and starting rumors about why and who's doing the road clearing on North Ambergris Caye, if people would take the time to go and see what is going on they would notice that the equipment and trucks all carry the San Pedro Town Council logo's, that should be an indication as to who is doing the work. As to why, because it needs to be done, access has always been a problem and the town board is committed to open and repair all roads on the island, the road North is just part of the larger project, some roads have been repaired and upgraded in other areas of the island and making a start on the North road is part of this huge project, the clearing and widening of the road is the first step, it will be built up and compacted with speed bumps and drainage. When completed, all residents and businesses will appreciate the improved road. Well, most of them will.
