i could not agree with diane more. this is clearly a training issue. there are very few people in the world that are natural born leaders. Leadership is taught, and very early in the training you learn that being a leader (authority figure) usually does not work with force. If you want respect, it does not come with a gun to the head. Fear comes with a gun to the head, but not mistake as the media/entertainment imply/state.
MAJOR kudo's to Jorge for taking this stance. It's a very scary position to be in and i wonder how many readers have the same courage. Bravo, jorge, bravo!
and also mad props to the SPSun. They often take a strong journalistic position and dont shy away.
