I for one am glad that the Belize Coast Guard the BDF and the Police do regular patrols up North, I lived up North and have seen heavily armed men walking the beach and chasing anyone away with the threat of harm, these guys did not care who they hurt or killed. Since the patrols have been implemented these types of incidents have all but disappeared. I do not blame the Coast Guards not want to be photographed and their faces published in a local paper, they have families and we all know these drug dealers have no respect for life. So get real, we should all support them not condone them, so some small time reporter had his feelings hurt that he was not allowed to interfere with a Coast Guard operation. Its not like they beat him half to death like the police seem to do in the US.
