The "Head in the Sand" attitude taken by certain people on this thread to such serious crimes is alarming. Look what happened here: Taxi Driver Jose clearly refused to allow his taxi/himself to be used for drug-related criminal activity. He was murdered for that reason. Now, what would have happened to, say, two tourists on bikes who stumbled across the deed or its immediate aftermath while the killers were still at the scene? These are vicious individuals beyond imagination, emotionless killers without remorse.

Now, get your heads out of the sand and demand better, MUCH better, from this government in terms of support (equipment, decent accommodations, pay, training) for the police, and demand a MUCH better educated and properly funded prosecuting department that can compete with the high powered defense lawyers/interfering politicians who always bail these scum out. Equally important quit implying that all is wine and roses on Ambergris Caye (7 Belize murders in 2 days but "only one on the island") because the reality is that this is a ticking time bomb ready to shatter the Ambergris Caye economy if tourists become victims.
