Seems like some people think that terrible crimes in bad parts of "anywhere" is unusual. I think we should make " demands" that Chicago get better equipment, training and pay everybody more to stop their rampant murder problem. It's called street smarts: Ambergris Caye is no different... Don't do stupid things in stupid places. For crying out laud,. Santa Monica California is a very affluent place.. BUT ... walking your date on the sand at 2 AM is an invitation to get robbed and have your date raped in front of you. It's a shame... but.. it's reality.

As a newbie, I believe that the Government is well aware of what affect this has on the tourist trade and I believe they are trying real hard to deal with this.
