I've never been stung by jellyfish in the Caribbean but, growing up on the Chesapeake Bay, where they are plentiful, the answer is yes. Here the life gaurds use "Accent" meat tenderizier to take out the sting. Of couse I haven't tried it in 30 years. Try it next time.
