This from his wife...they were separated for some time but there was still much family togetherness: (it was written a couple of days ago)
"To my dear Friends and family
By now most of are aware as to what has happened to Jeff.
It is with such heart break and sorrow that I have to tell you that Jeff had a freak fatal accident.
I loved him so much and miss him. He will always be in my heart forever. He had the best heart in the world. He cared so much for people that he came in contact with. he always had that olive branch out to people.
Most of all is was the best father and grandfather anyone could ever have. He adored his daughter Tracy and was so proud of his son Scott, who was his best friend. Scott's accomplishments were beyond anything Jeff could have ever expected from his son, graduating from college while going to the police academy at the same time. That was an unbelieve task that could not make Jeff prouder of Scott. He was so proud of him that he could not wait to ride with him when Scott was working. He beamed from ear to ear with such pride. Shari just had a new baby and was so happy to have Danielle as a new addition to our family. Taylor was his princess, Matthew monster as he called him was his new fishing buddy who he could not wait to take fishing. He used to bring home candy which the kids called poppy's stash and they would hunt the house until they found it and little Justin he could not wait to see because every time he saw him he ran to poppy to get him a big hug and kiss on his lips that made Jeff melt.
His family was his life.
He loved to travel and his bags were always packed for his next trip.
Jeff's funeral is Sunday September 2 which would have been our 36th anniversary. It will be held at Mt Sinai funeral chapel, 454 Cranbury Rd, East Brunswick NJ at !!:45 am sharp
Paula"
