I suggest that Reagans 2nd term was the last time that a majority of the country was even close to united and voted FOR a candidate

I would tend to disagree (no surprise there).
Bush/Gore was stolen by the supreme court. Gore won the popular vote and the florida vote, but it never counted as the Supremes stopped it.
What is the republicant agenda? Cut spending? Where and how much? I've never seen a coherent statement on what programs would get cut.
Repeal Health Care? Pretty thin gruel there as the party hasn't been very forthcoming on what parts of it would be repealed.
It really boils down to the economy, which cracks me up. The republicant party has obstructed the Democratic agenda every step of the way, and now gets rewarded for being d*cks.
One can only hope they have a clue of what to do to generate employment now that they are the majority party in the House. Of course, it will be hard to govern if the only plan they have is to be bigger d*cks through non stop investigations, empeachment hearings, and the like.

jhill you forgot one very scarey but important thing and that is the love the republicans have for warfare. They can't wait to pick a fight with Iran.
