Lucky? - I grew-up shooting Kodachrome slide film where every shot cost real money.

This image was captured by anticipating the bird's flight path. Fishermen were cleaning fish on the dock and this bird would circle-swoop-repeat so it was easy to pre-focus and wait for the flight path to repeat above my head.
