1 year ago, pretty much to the day, one of McAfee's dogs bit my wife on her backside whilst she was walking past his property. We have a property about half mile south of his. I was aware of the fact that the dog had bitten other people in the past. The injury to my wife was an open wound that needed treatment.
I went to the property to complain and I found the caretaker, a local guy by the name of Cash, he denied that the dog was anything to do with him or the property.
I told him that if he did not keep it under control I would deal with it. His response was to pick up a machete and threaten me. My response was to borrow my caretakers machete and go to battle, he declined.
It appears to me that it is likely that this whole situation is caused by two things, irresponsible dog ownership and unacceptable reaction to legitimate complaints about irresponsible dog ownership.
After my wife's incident I spoke with McAfee and told him he had two problems.
A dog that was out of control that need controlling and a caretaker who's behaviour was bullying and unacceptable. I told him that unless he addressed both it was likely that it would escalate out of control.
As far as I am concerned both he, his employees and the dogs have got what was coming to them.
