I live up north (not far enough for Elbert's definition) and deplore the condition of the CART PATH ie EASEMENT. However, I question the efforts being put in up here while the existing terrible roads are being untended around the other areas.
How much is the situation north of the bridge being pushed by investors in the large developments? Those are the folks who got the taxi's passage and they are mostly the ones having big trucks with heavy loads of material tear up the roads. At one time we were told that trucks would have to pay a DAILY USAGE FEE.
Does the town board consider what is paid to cross the bridge the usage fee?
Now that all that money is being charged ($25 BZ) to taxi's per round trip is there an accounting for it?
There should be enough income to reduce or eliminate the fees for residents golf carts.
