RE: #3 above ...correct me if I'm wrong, but this donation from Headrick/Ramon's is for a targeted/specific purpose (the clock/display) ....it is not a donation being made to the town "to use at the town's discretion, and it just happens that the decision was to build a clock/display." Thus, the fact that the town has many more worthwhile projects that need funding is irregardless with respect to this project.

The situation is simple: Public space is for sale, at the right price, for private advertising purposes.

Am I right or am I wrong?
