WHAT GUESTS WERE CATCHING:

BONEFISH (Macabi): Lots of happy anglers this week. The mornings started very calmly with some of the best sunrises of the season. Bonefish were caught by almost everyone, beginners and seasoned anglers alike. We welcomed back a lot of friends and enjoyed getting to know all the newcomers. Rob, Michael, Randy, Byron, Betty, Brian, Matt, Ben, Alex, David, Jay, Jim, Don, and the girls from Orvis all brought bunches of bonefish to the boat. Another great week!

PERMIT (Palometta): The permit were hungry, and even first timers landed a few. Randy, Matt, Ben, Alex, Michael, Lisa, Bob, and David made it look easy catching a few. Catching a permit has been compared to a hole-in-one in golf. Sometimes the harder you try, the harder it gets. The anglers that haven't fished for permit very long are sometimes the most successful. Bob with really nice permit. Capt Emir throws thumbs up.

TARPON (Sabalo): Quite a few Tarpon were spotted this week, but the anglers could only get a few to eat. Mary showed her husband how to do it and caught a nice one. Jim, Michael, and Ben also landed a big one. Nothing better than those Tarpon days!

OTHER SPECIES: Snook, barracuda, jack and loads of snapper

GRAND SLAM: Congratulations to Michael on his GRAND SLAM!

FLIES THAT WORKED

FOR BONEFISH - Christmas Island Specials

FOR PERMIT - Love those crab (mostly olive) and shrimp patterns.

FOR TARPON - White, black/purple and red/black are always great colors.

This Week's Summary:
