WHAT GUESTS WERE CATCHING:
BONEFISH (Macabi):
Bones, bones and more bones, everyone had a great week fishing for those powerful bonefish. Seasoned anglers and beginners were finding lots of hungry bonefish because of the calmer winds and sunny skies. Even our fishing director Isa was able to get out on the water and enjoy a few tugs on the rod.
PERMIT (Palometta):
Great week for the Permit. Seems like all the fish were waiting for a few calm days so they could feed on the flats. One of our friends John had an incredible day and landed 9, yes 9 Permit in one day. Awesome!
TARPON (Sabalo):
What has been up with the tarpon lately? Tons of tarpon around but not a lot of them were very hungry. John W, Isa, Jim, Michael and Landon however did manage to bring some to the boat. Early start to the day seems to pay when it comes to the tarpon these days.
OTHER SPECIES:
Snapper, needlefish, ladyfish, barracuda, snook, jacks, and grunt were all caught this week.
GRAND SLAM:
Congratulations to Michael T. on his Grand Slam.
