BELIZE FISHING REPORT
SEPTEMBER 12, 2021 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 19, 2021
Weather Conditions:
Good weather with a bit of extra wind on a couple of days. More sun than we have had for a few weeks, and conditions get better each day.
Winds:
ESE up to 20 Mph.
Air Temperature:
Low to High 80's.
Sunrise: 5:36 am Sunset: 6:22 pm
Moonphase:
First quarter 37.2%.
WHAT GUESTS WERE CATCHING:
BONEFISH (Macabi):
More than 250 bones were landed for the week; most were in the 2-4 pound range.
PERMIT (Palometta):
25 Permit were landed.
TARPON (Sabalo):
16 Tarpon were landed. The largest fish was about 80 pounds.
OTHER SPECIES:
Anglers landed some Jacks, Snapper, as well as big Barracuda. 1 Snook was also landed.
GRAND SLAMS:
One grand slam for Paul with his guide, Cesar.
FLIES THAT WORKED
FOR BONEFISH -
Christmas Island Specials in gold, pearl and pink sizes 4 & 6, and Crazy Charlies in pink and orange.
FOR PERMIT -
Mantis shrimp, rag head crabs and Flexo crabs.
FOR TARPON -
White bunnies, chartruese and black/purple bunnies are the flies of choice.
