BELIZE FISHING REPORT

OCTOBER 17, 2021 THROUGH OCTOBER 24, 2021

Weather Conditions: Variable conditions the past week with a mix of sunny skies and a couple of rain days.

Winds: ESE 10-20 Mph.

Air Temperature: Early High 80s.

Sunrise: 5:48 am Sunset: 5:22 pm

Moonphase: Waning gibbous 79.2%.

WHAT GUESTS WERE CATCHING:

BONEFISH (Macabi): More than 250 bones were landed for the week, most were in the 2-4 pound range, with several fish over 5 pounds.

PERMIT (Palometta): Eight Permit were landed.

TARPON (Sabalo): 18 Tarpon were landed.

OTHER SPECIES: One Snook, some Jacks, Snapper, and Barracuda.

GRAND SLAMS: No slams.

FLIES THAT WORKED

FOR BONEFISH - Christmas Island Specials in gold, pearl and pink sizes 4 & 6, and Crazy Charlies in pink and orange.

FOR PERMIT - Mantis shrimp, rag head crabs and Flexo crabs.

FOR TARPON - White bunnies, chartruese and black-purple toads.

Week in Review:

A relatively quiet week with some weather that made fishing tough. Still, some nice fish landed by anglers.
